I went over to get my daughter's 20+ yo, rheem gas heater going. found the controller fried, replace it with a White-Rodgers 50E47-843 electronic unit, found the transformer bad, replaced it and since I couldn't get the fan to come on, replaced the fan relay. The heater now works, but the fan comes on when you or the t-stat turns on the heat. The fan cuts off as soon as the t-stat turns the gas off, but will turn back on shortly after when the limit switch sends the signal to run until temps drop to spec. So the limit switch is working. I moved a lot of wires during the project and feel I must have crossed something. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm not sure how old the furnace is, but check the board to make sure there is a fan wire on "HEAT" port of the board.
If there is a wire on the "HEAT", then take a meter to see if you are getting power on that or not.
