The supply diffusers in my house are all on the inside walls, (in Ceiling) basically in the center of the house. The single Return is also located at the center of the house. The supply for my largest area (living room) is located about 6' from the return. Supplies are in the ceiling, return in low on the wall. I am planning on moving the supply diffusers in a few rooms towards the outside walls to allow for better coverage and air movement. Should this make a difference????
Also my duct system is 7" insulated flex. 7" flex is difficult to find, so I am thinking of using 6" insulated flex duct to extend the runs to the outside walls. I am also having trouble finding a 6x7 reducers. If I use a 6" connecter on the 7" duct will this create too much friction?? Do fittings for flex duct differ from hard pipe fittings??
