I live in a 100-year old house in south Louisiana, on piers with a good 30" crawl space underneath. All electrical, other than ceiling lights, is run beneath the house, as is the existing spaghetti mess of coax cables.

In preparation for an upcoming fiber-to-the-home installation, I would like to install a structured wiring enclosure on the exterior of my house adjacent to where they will put the backpack-sized fiber interface. I am going to run cable to a couple of new locations, so while I am at it, I might as well organize everything and have a box that can handle future wiring as well. The external box would allow me to run cable easily beneath the house where I have plenty of access (it's my basement, without the walls!).

I don't see where any of the providers of structured wiring enclosures offer one rated for exterior use. Is anyone using an external enclosure?
