Heya,
My Hitachi TV no longer works properly, it is unable to get any form of picture, just a black screen. Note the sound still works thou!!
- First started with the tv taking a little while to get a picture when turned on, a few seconds eventually a minute or so.
- Then began to randomly 'fail/falter' whilst on, but switching off & on usually brought the picture back.
- Now simply has reached the stage where it is unable to give any form of picture at all.
Have had the tv for about 3 years, not too long, always been kept in 1 place & looked after.
Any suggestions or ideas as to what the fault may be & any solutions ?

acts like bad solder connections in the high voltage section of the set.Time to take it to the shop for service.
