I have installed the DSC Alexor 2 Way Panel, with 2 keypads (WT5500), 5 Motion Detectors (WS4904P), 3 Wireless Recessed Contacts EV-DW4917 and 3 Wireless Door Contacts WS4945, and I am having difficulty assigning zone attributes. For example when I set the Recessed contact located at Zone 1 to Zone type of 3, and then set Zone 4 a Motion Detector to 32, and when I go back to review Zone1 it now is set to Zone type 32, as well as all of my other zones are set to 32 as well. This is true for all of my 11 zones, whatever is the latest zone type that I update, then the remaining zones all automatically update to the new zone type. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but here are my steps, *8, Installer Code, 001, then 01 (for zone 1), then 03, then hit # to go back the menu, hit 001, then 04, then 32, then hit # back to the menu, 001, then 01, and zone 1 now has become 32. Any assitance would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about your panel type but this is how most DSC panels i know work. Try this. * 8 installer code 001 then enter zone type for zone 1 then for zone2 then for zone 3 etc, etc. Enter the zone types back to back until the keypad beeps for the end of the section. When you were hitting the pound before you were exiting the section and then reentering it back at zone 1 again. For example if zone 1 is a delay, 2 is an instant, and 3 was an interior you would enter programming *8 installer code then 001 then 01,03,04 then # to exit the section. Good Luck.

write down ALL the zone definitions- and as said by LIPS- enter them all. If your not using zones above 11- enter all zeros' ( 00 ) for each zone NOT used.

Thanks for your quick replies, you both were dead on correct. I listed all of the zone types on paper, and then I went to *8, installer code, 001, then typed the zone types NOT THE ZONE numbers in order and everything is working correctly. Thanks again for your assitance!
