Cleaned logs, gas vents and got pilot light started. When switch is turned to on, no sound of gas getting to logs and the usual swoosh of the flames starting. The unit is approximately 6 years olds and never have had a problem with it. Any suggestions?

My parents had the same thing the other night. I hope your fix is as easy.

Check that the gas valve is in the "ON" position and not just the "PILOT" position.

I checked the valve and it was on...however I was able to turn a dial from ign to on and now it lights. Awesome. Thanks for the tip. Something I found out with this particular dial, you have to press it in to turn it. Thanks again!:)

Glad to have helped! :)

A lot of gas valves are like that, press to turn.
