This is my first post and I apologize if this information is on the forums somewhere but the search function is not working for me for some reason.

It seems that I have found another mess from my builder who is out of business along with the majority of the subcontractors including the guy who installed this alarm. I have finally figured out that I have a Brinks BHS-3000A premium keypad coupled with a Ademco Vista 20se control panel. First question after reading some of the sticky's is will this keypad interface with the control panel properly?

Second is who's master code do I want? I found instructions to get the Ademco master but this keypad does not have the * and # signs.

The system is supposedly set up for 3 zones; front, back and motion.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, the Brinks keypad will not work with the Ademco system. Period. This sounds like someone tossing the contents of their junk box onto the wall. The Vista 20se has been out of production for about 6-7 years.

My advice is to ditch the keypad _and_ the control and start over with a set of current generation parts, that you can be sure to work.
