It seems like every site I visit asks for an addon.
Is it ok to just go ahead with work as usual if you want to disregard this notice?
I don't know which sites to ok and which ones to not allow.
Like this site is asking so...
Thank you for your time.

Some websites require these add-ons to display content. Some things you'll see are Java and Flash. These can provide the animated icons that you see or display video. You can download Java directly from Sun, or Flash from Adobe.

There are lots of others but I won't use them.

Feel free to disregard the notice. You just may miss out on the online "experience." For what that's worth. A lot of it is junk and take up bandwidth.

Good luck.

You put that very well and I thank you for the advice.

I agree.
If you are unsure just minimize the program asking you to install something and then put the name of the application in a search engine and it will explain what it is.
