Hello, I am looking for soundproofing material and I found this: StepAbove, it claims STC = 73:

STEP ABOVE Plus Flooring Underlayment (http://www.soundprooffoam.com/step-above-plus.html)

Anybody have any experience with this product or can you recommend another product? I am trying to install hardwood floor to a second floor apartment and we have to install soundproofing to avoid complaints from the apartment below.

Just reading their specs, they only claim foot traffic sound deading properties. It won't sound "proof" the floor. Sound proofing is generally done in the space between the floor and the ceiling below it. And being an apartment, I would make sure I have the written permission of the owner before I do it (unless you are the owner, of course)

Thanks Chandler, yes I am the owner and the soundproofing I need is for foot traffic. Do you have experience with this or other material?
