I am considering whether I shall try to recycle the ITI/GE Concord Express (60-806) from ADT that came with the house (without using ADT) or get a new Concord 4 from home-technology-store.com.
I am planning to use next-alarm.com for monitoring.
I am wondering what the community's take is on either option and on next-alarm.com as the monitoring company. I am of course open to other easier to setup panels you may recommend.
Here are a few details of the current and new setup:
- There are now 6 hardwired sensors and 5 wireless sensors (GE 60-362).
- I will need to add at least 22 new wireless sensors since the existing installation leaves plenty of windows unguarded
- The system now has two hardwired keypads and one panic button, which I would want to maintain
- I believe a fire sensor is connected now, but can't be 100% sure, however I would want to connect that too
- I would also want to connect at least two wireless motion sensors
- I do not have nor will I add a standard telephone line. That is why I am considering next-alarm.com since they provide monitoring over the Internet. My ISP is the cable company and the cable is buried underground so cutting it would not be easy (assuming a regular thief would go to that lenght). I am also planning to have my router and cable modem on a UPS so even without power the alarm would still work. I am planning on adding the ABN Broadband Adapter, although I am unclear at this point whether it will work with the Concord Express or Concord 4.
I considering the Concord 4 since it supports up to 8 hardwired zones while most other systems support up to 2. In addition I believe I can reuse the current wireless sensors with the Concord 4, am I correct?
Will I need to purchase a alphanumeric keypad to program the Concords? I noticed this one 60-746-01 | GE Concord SuperBus 2000 2 x 16 LCD Alpha Touchpad | Home Security Store (http://www.homesecuritystore.com/p-129-60-746-01-ge-concord-superbus-2000-2-x-16-lcd-alpha-touchpad.aspx)
Any help would be appreciated.

The ABN unit is basically a dedicated digital phone adaptor. It's supposed to work with any alarm that can transmit Contact ID format (which nearly every system made in the last 10 years uses).
If you want to expand your system to the extent you describe, then you pretty much will need to upgrade to the Concord 4. If you can gain control of it, the Concord Express is a perfectly good system, but it has it's limits.
Yes, you need the alpha keypad.

Express only goes to 16 wireless zones, so if you want to add 22, you'll need the Concord 4 (or Concord 3)

Thank you for your help. Indeed it seems I may need to upgrade.
