I have Frigidaire Gas Oven Model No. FGF379WJCA. I would like to replace the Broil Ignitor on this stove as I think it has lived its life. The part no. as per the Stove's literature is 316119302. But searching the internet, I found another Frigidaire Ignitor Part No. 5303935068 which looks exactly similar to the one that is as per the Stove's literature. I can get 5303935068 much cheaper than the other one on Ebay. But I want to make sure that it will work.
Can anyone tell me what could be the difference between the two.
Thanks

Hello Subhash . Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
Best advice to offer is check with a local appliances parts retail store. Best insurance for obtaining the correct part.
Looks like the part or similar to the existing part may not be the correct part nor one that is interchangeable with the OEM part...
HSI's (Hot Surface Igniter's) function by electrical resistance. Not looks. Wrong part creates more problems.... then it resolves, if any. Best bet. Buy locally and be sure.
Buyer Beware:
Electrical parts and/or components are non returnable and non refundable. Once purchased, especially online, you own it whether it is the correct part, works or does not work, solves the problem or doesn't. You bought. Done deal....:wall: Read the "fine" print before buying.
BTW: Never mentioned any problem, condition and/or symptom that would warrant replacing the HSI......

Thanks for the reply.
The problem I am having is that the Oven does not work anymore. It was worked fine around 7pm when I warmed up something. I turned it off and then about 9pm I tried to turn it on again but it didn't come on. The Glowbar does not work anymore. So, I am sure it is the Ignitor.
I basically wanted to know if anyone knows the specs difference between the two part nos. I quoted in my first post.

Look on the gas valve and you will see a little sticker that gives the igniter amp range. There are only 2 ranges that I'm aware of. Norton & Carborundum
Norton 3.2-3.6 amps
Carborundum 2.5-3.0 amps
