I am remodeling a bath and would like to install engineered bamboo on the ceiling. The bathroom has a very good exhaust fan and also windows that open. Are there any issues with this in regards to humidity?

What is the installation procedure for the bamboo? Normally the bamboo I am using is installed as a "floating floor". Do I install plywood over the existing sheetrock and then tack the bamboo to the plywood?

I think I would use construction adhesive and install the "flooring" directly over the drywall. Nails would show up and probably rust because of the humidity. If might have to tack it up in order to hold it while the adhesive dries and if so I'd use an 18 gauge brad nailer. A better way however would be to use a couple of "Joe's" (2x4 tee's) and hold it up just as you would if you were putting up a drywall ceiling.

Was thinking of using aluminum siding nails so as to not worry about rust

Best case scenario on a floor, the flooring will expand and contract. Put it on a ceiling exposed to moisture and multiply that by 3. Nailing is not an option, nor is using construction adhesive, as the laminate must float.
