I have a Maytag DWU7400 dishwasher. It stopped working completely, all of a sudden.
There is power into the unit, but no functions at all. The timer doesn't advance by itself, and when I turn it manually, none of the cycles run. I checked the 2 switches that are part of the door lock mechanism, and they are working individually (open, but close on contact), but I have no way of checking them under operating conditions (door actually closed).
Any suggestions as to what I can check next?
I was considering bypassing the door switch mechanism, or maybe applying power directly to the time to see if it turns.

It seems to me that many of the dishwashers have float switch in the front of the machine. I remember having to clean that float switch once on my machine to get it working again properly. They shut off to stop the possibility of flooding. Check it out and see if it may be stuck or hung up.

Thanks, but that wasn't it (but I can see how that could have been it)
