I saw a project somewhere for the top inside of a kitchen cabinet using T-shaped wooden threshold moulding in parallel strips you could slide the base of your wineglasses into. Does anyone know where to get a wood strip like this, or what it's called? Thanks for any help.

I think its actually called a T-moulding or T-transition...

You should be able to find it anywhere wood and tile flooring is sold. Heres an example from HD...
