Rugs, Carpets and Carpeting - stain oriental rug

Here is my situation,

I developed a small stain on my oriental rug when taking out the trash. I guess something leaked and I did not address it immediately. My mistake

Then about 3 or 4 days later, I tried to clean it with soap suds.

I made the stain worst and it then spread and it appeared I could see the soap suds.

So to remove the stains, I poured water on the stain.

Now, the stain spread even more and it is like I can see the water splatter marks in the rug.

What can I do?:o
Yep, I am a single guy with no experience with something like this.
Side note- money is really tight so I would need to trash the rug before bringging it somewhere or spending a bunch of money on products so if someone knows a simple way to remove the stain it would be appreciated
