I need a pinout chart or a wiring diagram for the data link connector on a 99 dodge ram w/360 v8. Also need to know where fuse is for it. Any help would be appreciated.

The data connector shares a fuse with the cig lighter that vehical is obd 2 and you cant get away with the ol short two pins to get the codes by counting flashes you'll fry things

OK I have an OBDII reader so thats no problem. This whole thing started last week when I got a Check Engine light and tried to use my code reader to see what was wrong. When I went to plug it in the Data Link Socket came apart and aparently shorted something out. Thus the need for the schematic with pinouts to rewire it. Since it came apart the Dome light and the radio do not work. Cig. lighter works. Have the socket reconstructed but dont know for sure if I have the wires connected properly since I dont have the schematic for it with the pinouts and wire colors. Again I would be very appreciative if someone had these and would be willing to share that Info with me.

OK Problem solved. Got the schematic downloaded and the recepticle reassembled. The fused wire I asked about is the IOD fuse (10A) located in the fuse panel on the end of the dash. Thanks a lot for the responses. Now if I can just figure out why it came apart in the first place so that I might avoid this at a later date will be wonderful.
Again thanks a lot for the responses.
