I have two recliners with flaps on the bottom. These flaps extend from the foot rest to about midway back on the bottom of the chair. They have come loose and hang down. This is very unsightly as the chairs have wooden legs, which allows the dangling flap to show all the time. I have tried velcro. That lasted about a week. Does anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate any and all help. The chairs are cordovan colored leather.

The flaps (better known as a "skirt") are attached by lifting the flap up and either stapling or nailing the top half inch to the frame of the chair. Typically, a 1/2 strip of a thin cardboard is tacked in place to spread the pressure of the nails evenly.
