I'm not sure if this product belongs in this forum or the forum for ceramic tile etc but I'd like to know if anybody has had any experience with this stuff installed in a kitchen/dining room. I'm curious how it holds up to heavy appliances, ie stove and refrigerator moving. Granted they don't get moved often but the vinyl we have down now seems to end up with a new gouge in it whenever we haul the stuff out to clean around it. The website also recommends caster cups under the "feet" of heavy appliances but I know I can't lift them off the floor to install anything under them! Maybe I'd be better off to leave a piece of plywood or something under them. Thanks for your advice.

I installed the Durastone about 7 years ago in a high traffic area in kitchen. Little tiny pieces of the wear layer chipped or peeled off on almost every tile. Congoleum sent me two boxes of tile because of problems I was having, but I would have to replace almost every tile. I had a grout colorant that was perfect color that I use to fix chips and gouges. So about, every few months, I go over floor and fix any new nicks with this. I wouldn't buy it again. Maybe this product has improved in the last 7 years.
