my a/c was recently damaged by a neighbor who cut one of the refrigerant line( the smaller one) and all the gas shot out
is it possible to fix myself and then have some one charge it or is this a need for a prof. ????

You can fix it if you have gauges, nitrogen, silver solider and at least mapp gas. I added up about $300 in my head for all of that so Id just pay someone to do it right the first time.

You can fix the pipe if you know how. but the freon work must be done by a licensed (by law) AC tech.
