I have moved house and the sellers left 3 large floor to ceiling ikea wardrobes in beech finish. I want to paint them white.
Is this possible?
what paint do I use?
Is it a lenghty procedure?
Will it look terrible?
Hope you can help

Welcome to the forums!
It should be paintable but the choice of primer is important. I'd scuff sand and then use a pigmented shellac primer like zinnser's BIN. I'd use a waterborne enamel for the top coats, it dries almost as hard as oil base enamel but won't yellow with age like oil enamels do.
The primer has a strong odor so plan on a lot of fresh air ventilation. Generally it takes 2 coats of enamel [plus the primer] to get good coverage. Sanding lightly beteen coats will both promote good adhesion and help to remove any unsightly brush marks..... unless spraying is an option.
