Hi,
Installed some large crown on a ceiling where it was impossibleto have crown tight to ceiling in some places. Resulted in a 5/8" caulk joint.
I used the premium GE 5000 caulk. I noticed that after 2 days it's still fairly soft. Label says cure is 5 days but of course can be painted same day (I always wait overnight at least).
I assume that I'll probably be OK as far as the Latex wall paint over the caulk but I thought I'd ask in case. Minor paint cracking would be OK but full failure would be a disaster. It would be inconvenient to wait the full 5 days.
Thanks for any advice.

Caulking by design is soft and flexable. If it was to dry hard, it wouldn't be able to flex as/if needed. It should be fine to paint over now, usually paint only cracks when applied over caulking in the first few hours after it's been applied.... and another coat of paint usually hides the minor cracks.
