I am having a problem with the water cutting off for 30 seconds or so, then returning full pressure. This probably happens once per day. Someone suggested replacing the Square D pressure switch. I don't feel comfortable doing this myself. Should I call an electrician or a plumber for this job? Any range of cost to repair? Could it be something else?

Thanks, Mary

that would be a repair for a plumber, or a well technician, read the sticky about checking your pressure tank and if you feel comfortable doing any of that try some of those checks first. It does sound like maybe your switch is slow coming on and a further thought is also have the plumber check the line to the pressure switch for mineral deposits slowing the movement of water thus making the switch slow to respond.
