The depth of our laundry room from the wall to the door way is about 28 inches. The washer is next to the doorway and is almost too deep for its space (25.5 inches and the hoses are cramped!) If I were to get a front loader washer with an average depth of 30 inches, it wouldn't fit. What would you all suggest? Bi fold doors? Door that swings out? Something else? Sound insulation is important since the room is next to the family room.

Thanks,

Barry

Barry, definitely a swing out door. Bifolds are good, but even when folded back take up edge space that may interfere with the opening of the front loader. Would be nice if you could reconfigure the wall and install a pocket door, but that's a lot of work. Doable.

Thanks Chandler. Pocket door would be the best solution for my needs.
