I need to replace a failing tankless coil. I'm going to upgrade to an indirect system. What are the thoughts on a Buderus s-120 vs. a Crown ms-40?
They both have rods that need to be checked, so I guess it's a matter of coated steel vs just steel...
Thanks for the replies.

Just to clarify the Crown is a Stainless Steel tank. If you are concerned about checking anode rods look at a stone lined tank. It would not be affected by water conditions as inert water protects the tank.

My mistake, the ms-40 doesn't have a rod. Is that because the stainless steel won't corrode?
I've asked Crown for info on their lifetime warranty. Is it pro-rated as the years go on? The buderus is pro-rated which was a surprise to my heating guy - I guess it use to be unlimited.

I've installed quite a few Crown MS tanks including one in my own home & one for my parents. I've experienced zero problems with any.
