:wall:tecumseh 2 cycle model#th139sa will start but keeps backfiring and then stalls. whats going on with this?

Have you tried a plug yet??? Make sure you have good steady spark to the plug.. To do this you'll need an airgap tester... Also the carb jets may be blocked & will require a through carb dissasembly to clean in a soak type bath & a repair kit installed,,or in extreme cases,, an air leak @ a gasket or crank seal... Tell us what you've tried & we'll go from there... Roger

Sometimes (at least on Briggs & Stratton motors) I've seen the flywheel key (that sets the flywheel on the crankshaft) be just ever so slightly sheared which throws the timing off.

They are liek 50c at the parts store. Couldn't hurt to try that if everything else checks out.
