I just purchased a LUX TX1500E to replace my mechanical contact thermostat. I removed the face plate and found only 2 wires connected to two different screws. One is near the top and the other near the bottom, which appears to activate the switch. Both wires have copper ends and they both appear to be yellow. I have checked up, around, and behind the plates and can't find any indicators as to what the wires are. The thermostat controls a Gaffers Sattler furnance. This is a heating system only, no a/c or anything else. I would appreciate any help in identifying the wires and how to proceed.

sounds like an older furnace, not able to find any info on this.

Just hook any of the two wires to RH and W on the t-stat.

Jay - Thank you! I hooked up the one wire that appeared to active the switch to 'W' and the other to 'RH' and everything appears to be working fine.
