Humidifiers and Dehumidifiers - Aprilaire 500 Problem

I have an Aprilaire 500 it is 1 year old this month, I decided to fire up the furnace and test it out. I put a new filter in and put the manual control to test. Nothing happens I hear the control knob click but no water flow is happening. Anyhow I took the water valve off and I have flow to it, I then tested the wires to the water valve and I have 24v from the white and red wires. I then did an ohm's test on the solenoid and it reads 30.0. Are these readings what I should expect and if not where do I look from here. All was well last winter after the install so I suspect a part has gone bad as all the wire nuts are tight and I found no loose connections.

I don't what the OHM reading should be on the solenoid valve, but if you do have power to it, then I'd say it's bad.

Thanks for your timely response Jay, thats what I thought I also tested the wires to it with the control off and moving it to different settings and it tests 24v as long as it is on. I guess its time to order a new valve.

Is your water supply valve open?
