I can usually hear my sump pump when it runs, and in fact was going to try to mask the sound. However, over the last few days it has been quiet. I went to check expecting to find the pump broken. However, I found the sump dry.
It has been pumping through the summer, even though we had little rain. The last few days it has rained a lot so I am now worried that it should suddenly go dry.
My house is less than 12 months old so I would not expect drain tile problems, but cannot think what else it could be.
Any ideas? or how I can further investigate?
