Has anyone tried to change to voice prompt/chime? If so how do you go about it.

what are u trying to do. Shut it off, change volume, chime only. would be nice to know what keypad model. If you can remove it from the wall the model number is usually on the back. Need more info.

It's a Safewatch Pro 3000EN

What I was wanting to do is replace to voice with a new one. Modify it to say what I want it to say using a different voice.

I believe this is an Ademco vista 20p panel. ADT changes the names for their own use. Usually the real model number is inside the main control cabinet on the inside door. If it still says safewatch 3000 then check the main circuit board. Should find it there. If it is a vista 20p i have installed the talking keypads with the voice chime but was unaware that the voice was changeable. I dont believe this is possible but i could be wrong. Good luck

Ummm, with the 6150/60V voice keypad models, you are stuck with the vocabulary built into the keypad. There is no upload option.

mr ronFl is right.. I work quite extensively with 6150 and 6160 V keypads.. the best you can do is shut off the voice without shutting off the chime.. to shut off the voice simply hit #024 and you'll hear the kpad say "off".. to turn back on #024 it'll say "on" but you definitely cannot change the voice .. you can create a few custom words in the alpha vocabulary so the screen displays it.. but the kpad won't pronounce them.

if it was a lynx aio panel you can program your own voice for custom words
