I am new to this forum but has been on it looking for 2 days on how to reset the passwords. I bought a foreclosure property and don't have the password to arm the system. I would like to reset it so I can arm it. I have found a lot of information thru the Searches here, but nothing is working for me. Could some one please help me, please.
I have followed the manual and every post I could find on here and on the google. I am not getting any where and/or missing a step.
I'm doing the following but I think I am missing a step:
1. Power down the unit by unpluging the Transformer and the battery - went okay!
2. Plug back in the Transformer - went okay!
3. With 60 seconds press the * + # ( Press them at the same time) went okay
4. Then press *20 - did that
5. After I pressed *20
Numbers appeared on the panel
06 03 02 01
6. I wrote those numbers down
The installer codes
7. Plug back in the battery to unit.
8. I am lost now - Please help me
9. Do I press *99 and enter the codes
6321 82 and the new code within 60 seconds??
I did this and numbers started to flash
96 is on the panel and 22 comes up.
I have press everthing and nothing is working.:wall:
Thank you for any help you can offer. Please help me with steps as if you are doing them yourself. Just besides myself on this.:wall:

yeah it's pretty easy but the problem with ademco is you have to do it SUPER FAST without any pauses between keystrokes that s why you're not able to change the codes...
you already got into programming and changed the installer code... *99 exits the programming mode... so then you just do this:
6321 82 1234 1234 lightning fast (umm, I think you only have to do the new code once but doing it twice doesnt hurt :) just do it and if the panel accepted it then you'll hear a beep... but u gotta do it FAST... it'll work you'll see

maybe i wasn't clear but just to be sure... your step number 9 in your original post is correct *99 to exit programming you do not need to dwell inside programming as you may change some attributes and you DO NOT wanna do that.. make sure you hit *99 and get outta programming.. then do what I said... if in doubt.. power down the system by unplugging batt and power, power up, wait a minute for the d! to clear from screen then try changing the code.. hope i was clear!! good luck

just so I am clear.
after I press *20 and it gives me the code 06 03 02 01.
next step is to :
Press: *99
Press/quickly: 6321 82 1234 1234 (I input my new code 2 times)
Press: What do I press next to exit?
Thank you Miami Alarmguy for your help! I really appreciate it!!

forget about *20 .. *20 is INSIDE programming and it's to change the installer code.. once you did that once.. u don't have to go back in there again ever.. stay away from the programming side.... but to answer your question *99 exits you OUT of the programming then you do the steps that I told you... the installer code (which u just changed to 6321 in field 20 inside programming that what *20 is) the installer code (6321) then 82 then 1234 1234 QUICK and ur new code is 1234... but just make sure you hit *99 to exit prog first... then try it..
