We are in OR and get freezing temps occasionally. We do not drain our pool.
Last winter/spring we left our 2-speed pool pump motor on low speed 24x7. The cost was not much as far as I can tell but there was wear and tear on the unit.
OK. I have seen 110V low temp switches. I'll bet there are 220V, hardwired low temp switches available. Don't know how well they work and if they are adjustable. And can they over-ride the pump timer, if necessary. Who sells them?
Anyone out there have this type switch? Beer 4U2

You're looking for a freeze protection and local pool stores should have them or can get one for you.
