I know it's not exactly about flooring but I just bought a house last week. All the cabinets in the house have wood shelves in them, with what appeared to be Amtico vinyl tiling glued down. You know that cheesy off white with gold sparkle stuff from god knows when? We peeled all of it up but it left a whole bunch of patches from the bottom of the tiling stuck to the wood. We tried to just scrape it off. We tried power sanding it off. We tried Stripease, but that just took a thin layer of it off. We're starting to chip the wood from having to scrape so hard. For all I know this stuff was on there since 63' when the prior owners bought it. This stuff reeks and looks awful. I gotta get it out of there! Anybody have any ideas?
