I have done this 4 times now. My wife is ready to kill me, I can not get the caulk to stay and seal between the glass shower door frame and the tub. It is a figerglass tub and I have done everything that I can think of to dry it and clean it.
1) hair dryer under the frame to make sure no water under it.
2) scraped it with a razor to make sure there was nothing left to mess it up.
3) alcohol to make sure that it is clean and dry.
Everywhere else worked but this one place (4 x's)?
Please help.

Welcome to the forums!
I suspect there is still moisture behind the frame. You might try drying it out with the hair dryer and then waiting 24 hrs or so and see if it's still dry.

I may take a long time to get the water inside a crevice since there is very little surface area for the water to evaporate. Try sticking the edge of a paper towel up into the crack to absorb as much water as possible. Try the hair dryer for a long time to heat up the fiberglass and aluminum frame, but be carefull not to overheat the fiberglass. You want the heat to soak into the materials to help heat the water and make it evaporate faster. You may have to do this several times over the course of a weekend. If you have a can of compressed air like used to clean computer keyboards you can spray that into the crack to blow out some of the water.
You mentioned cleaning with alcohol. I assume there is no soap scum remaining on the surface.

So it is still a moisture issue? I will try really drying under the frame and paying close attention to the whole frame. I will have my wife stop showering there tommorrow, and let you know how it goes.
Thanks

Is this new caulk? caulk will go bad if it sits too long.

The caulk was purchased with in the last month. I would expect it to be ok. Is there a certain caulk that is an industry leader that I should be checking out?

Make sure you are using 100% silicone. DAP makes some decent stuff. Is that door frame moving?

No the door frame is not moving. I have been using DAP and I am not sure if it is 100% silicone but I think it is. I will check and make sure.
Thanks.
