I am upgrading an upstairs bathroom (circa 1914) and need to replace T&G yellow pine flooring with T&G 3/4 plywood to give the bathroom an even flooring surface to work with (tile installation). Do I have to worry about the structural aspects of the yellow pine removal until I lay down the plywood? Thanks to anyone who can give me an answer. Dan

"Do I have to worry about the structural aspects of the yellow pine removal until I lay down the plywood?" ---- In what way? I would be worried about the single layer of 3/4" being rigid enough for tile with only one layer. What size tiles? What is the deflection rating for the floor? For the tile type....
