A friend has been having volume problems on cordless phones. There different brands of phones over the last two years. A hard wired phone works with no problem.

Basically she can't hear the caller and the caller sometimes can't hear her. This is not consistent. Sometimes the phones work fine then the volume drops after a few minutes and some times it is when the phone is picked up. On the first of the phones to do this she changed the batteries several times without any improvement. Batteries haven't been changed out on the current phone but it is only a couple of months old.

She thinks perhaps the AC charger is not getting enough electric to fully charge the battery. I am somewhat skeptical but the wiring is old. i have asked her to plug the charger into a receptacle on a different breaker but as I said I'm skeptical that will help. Anyone have any other ideas?
