I purchased a used mini home that has an asphalt shingle roof. Many of the shingles are cracked between the tabs and there is evidence of leaking inside the home. This home was relocated several miles about 10 years ago and now sits on a permanent foundation.

If I place roofing cement in the spaces between the tabs would this stop the leaks and extend the life of the roof?
