Im new to the septic system so im trying to learn. My high water alarm keeps going off when it rains. Should i be concerned and what should i do. It is an arebic system with 3 tanks and sprinkler system. One of my sprinklers is not working. Have called the installer several times but cant get him to come out. Not sure why it goes off after a rain.

What type of system? Microfast....Advantex? I worked as a service provider on those two systems for a year. Not an expert by no means.....
Couple of reasons for high water alarm.....
Leaks in the tank or flow back from the lines. Do you have drip irrigation or actually sprinklers? I have seen where all the sprinklers were clogged and causing high water alarms. You stated only one was not working.
How old is the system? Typical tanks installed today are top seamed.

The only reasons you would get water in the tanks when it rains, is a broke pipe going to the tanks, a riser on the pump tank is leaking.
Depending on the type of system you have, there may be as many six risers that may be leaking.
If rain makes the high water alarm sound there may be a low spot around the tanks, that may make the leak easier to find.
Any good hardware store should have sprinklers. To be legal, the sprinkler should have a purple top.
You can call the county permit div. where you are, and they will be able to tell you the installers that can service your type system.

Thanks guys. After reading your reply i dug up the sprinklers and found that the line had seperated. I would guess the water was back filling into the septic. I have repaired the pipe and will wait to see if this was the problem. You guys are great. Thankyou so much for the help. Will let you know after the next rain.
