Hi
I bought a bungalow where the bathroom fan is located over the door and simply exhausts into the hallway (embarassin' at times ). Needless to say I want to install a proper ceiling mounted exhaust fan that exhaust to the roof outside. There is approx 2½ feet clearance inside the attic to the roof. My question is; assuming the roof vent can be located directly above the fan, is there any reason why I shouldn't route the ducting directly from the fan to the roof vent (i.e. straight line)? Or do I want to put some kind of s-bend or curve in the ducting?
Thanks for your help.

Straight is better, less resistance.
