I hope this isn't a silly question. I've installed a 5" halo recessed light above the bathtub.
Would a lens or a dome give off more light? Any drawback to one or the other?

Not silly, just what you do with the answer that counts. A flat lens of tempered glass will probably give off more light, but in such an enclosed space, either one would work. The domes are opaque plastic, whereas the glass refracts the light.

I thought for some reason the dome would give off more light.
A lensed, flush to the ceiling trim it is.
Thank you chandler, that is very helpful.
