I installed a new metal sink in my bathroom. The faucet and drain that I also bought is where I am having an issue I'm not sure how to address. The sink does not have an overflow opening in it, fine and dont really care. The drain that came with the faucet has holes in it that are there to allow the overflow to empty into the pipe. What do you do to address this? The exposed holes will allow the sink water to leak into the vanity. Is there something to seal the holes or an attachment piece to glue onto the sink somehow?

You need a non-overflow popup assembly. Thats what the drain part is called. If you want an exact finish match..call the manufacturer of the faucet. If its a std finish like chrome..any plumbing supply place will have it. A good local hardware store MAY have it...don't think a Big Box store will...not sure.

those puppies are expensive...ended up having to call Delta to get a popup type in venetian bronze without having to give away my first born. Plumbing supply store here in town wanted $135 for one. Other hardware stores didnt carry the popup style in the finish I needed, but they still ran around $80. Delta said they cost $80, but when I said that was more than I paid for the entire faucet they said they would sell it to me for 50% off. Incredible, ripoff artists.
Do they sell non overflow popups included in any models of faucets or do you have to always buy them seperately? Was thinking of using the vessel sink in a countertop and sink replacement in a jack and jill bath.

I think they all pretty much include the overflow type. And yeah, when you talk about the fancy finishes they can get pricy for the parts.
