I'd love to get some advice on paint colors. I would like to paint my den in "beachy" paint colors. The floor is a natural color bamboo and at this point there isn't any furniture or anything else to match/coordinate with (I know I'm doing this the wrong way but for timing reasons I need to). What paint colors (maybe 2 or 3 different colors for different walls/trim) would give a very "beachy"/tropical look? Thanks very much!

Greetings Pam,
My wife and myself have actually just chosen our paint colors for a beach themed room in our home, the exact colors we have chosen are as follows, all are Behr brand paints, colors and codes. The sheen we chose for each is personal preference of course!

Walls = Arizona 290D-4 Flat
Accent Wall = Aquatic Green 510D-6 Semi Gloss
Doors = Coral Confection 270C-3 Semi Gloss
Trim = Almond Cream W-B-710 High Gloss

Hope this helps a bit and best of luck on getting that den to be your very own beach retreat!

Mike

Hi Pam, welcome to DIY

as colors are visual perceptions, can you post a picture?

In order to set an image here follow these easy steps-->
1 - upload your picture to a free online photoalbum like Photobucket or Flickr , for example
2 - Look for the link of your picture (usually, photoalbums provide a "link for a forum" script) --> copy the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located),
3 - In the DIY Forum--> Reply post or open a new post--> Press the 'Insert Image' icon above and paste the link--> or type before the URL and after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image
