Hope I'm using the right terminology. I need to replace the bottom of my exterior front door. This is a steel door and the plastic bottom with weatherstripping attaches to the bottom of the door by means of parallel barbs that insert in parallel channels in the bottom of the door.

As I am unsure of the door's manufacturer, I tried a Stanley door replacement product but found the parallel barbs to be 1in center to center whereas my door requires 1 1/2in. Today at HD I saw a JeldWin replacement bottom, but theirs were 7/8in. on center.

Does anyone know of a product 1 1/2" apart that I can use on my door?

The only one that will fit must be gotten from the manufacturer of the door. You could use a "U" shaped external sweep available at HD.

As I do not know who manufactured my front door, does anyone know of a manufacturer who used 1 1/2in between the channels on the bottom?

I believe I have found the replacement door bottom that I need, a Frost King UDJ36 for a Johnson door at Home Depot. This one was the right dimensions (trimmed length to fit) and had the right kind of hooks to snap into the bottom channels in my door. My only remaining question is, what side faces outside? The door bottom strip is asymmetrical with regards to it's fins and one side has more of a sweep to it.
