Laptop keeps losing wireless settings. I have to start wireless zero configuration everytime, even though I set it to start automatically at startup.
Then I have to go into the settings and tell the laptop to use windows to operate the wireless.

What type wireless? Is it built in or a PCMCIA card? If the latter, what brand? Is it hooked to a router that is WPA protected?

Experience tells me this is going to be one of those problems that is solved by "uninstalling and reinstalling" something. Unfortunately, that's just a fact of life in Windows.
You could start by uninstalling the wireless drivers and network adapter. Then try reinstalling the driver from scratch from the latest version listed on the manufacturer's website.

It has a Dell card that pops into the side to get the wireless connection, came with the PC. It is connected through a Netgear WGT624 wireless router.
I checked the router and I beleive it is added to the authorized devices. It shows two devices, my TIVO wireless as 198.1.1.2 and another as 198.1.1.3 which I am assuming is the laptop, not sure if these are exact numbers, but I am sure you know what I am talking about.
Let me know if this helps, otherwise I can uninstall and reinstall.
