I've read the other RD50 woes here and there was some good advice, so here i am for my dose. No red LED on front panel when AC switch ON. Traced AC mains through on/off sw., thru what looks like a front panel safety interlock and back to the PS board, through the fuse. No DC at any pin strip edge blocks. Only voltage is 161VDC that goes to a daughter board on top of the main PS box (What is that, please some sort of V step up or constant current circuit for the lamp?) and then to the lamp box. Power supply specs say it should be 380V. Even with the daughter board disconnected still 161VDC. I've read that the mother board turns on the power supply, but that doesn't make sense to me. I should see at least one pin location with maybe 5VDC when main switch is ON to power the LED on the front, the IR reciever circuitry, and allow the remote or panel "on" switch to operate...Yes? Do you think it makes a difference if I have the harnesses to the fans, motherboard, wheel etc., disconnected while checking the PS? My thinking is that if something is loading it down, this would give me some clue. I checked for fuse link metal film resistors, but without a schmatic it's futile. Do you have any other suggestions as to what I might try before sending out for another power supply? Thanks for your help! PS the lamp looks fine, but I did replace it placate my wife who's freaking out because Survivor is on today.

I can't get the service manual for this model. There should be +5 volts coming from the power supply to the main board. Then there should be +5 volts on the on/off switch. If there is no voltage on the on/off ,but there is coming into the main board , then it's the main board bad.If no volts going into the main board , then it's the power board bad.
