i cant figure out how to change the name on ownership to a property deed?

We need more info. Why are you changing the name? Has it been sold? transfer of ownership? is their a mortgage?
Generally a quick claim deed is used to transfer the deed to someone else.

Chad, I recommend a title company or attorney in your county & state to inquire on that. It is highly unlikely that is a do-it-yourself task.
