I am renovating a 1927 passenger train car. The interior is made up almost entirely of honduran mahogany. The problem for me is the built in china cabinets and shelves located in the formal dining room. They are covered in a strange upholstery like fabric with a very strong glue (back from who knows when, but most likely prior to 1927). Does anyone know what I may do to remove this stuff. It is adhered to bare oak or something of that nature. Thanks in advance for replies or suggestions.
