I have a 2000 silverado extended cab. Apparently there is an air filter for the cab also. I have not been able to locate it. Does anybody know where it is and how to get to it? thanks a lot for the help.

I had the same question awhile ago for my GMC. Some models had them,and some didn't. Mine didn't
Google autozone.com and see if one is listed for your truck.

passenger side under dash, remove the black plastic cover that runs from the kick pannel to about the middle of the dash, then there is another cover / housing you have to remove to get to BOTH filters. the second cover is flat, about 6" long and has a small "L" shaped piece at the end, remove the 7/32 screw from that and the FILTERS are up in there. let me know if you need more help
