Yesterday our picture started appearing blurry, almost double images. I thought it was the cable so we tried a DVD and had the same issue. Any idea what the issue would be, whether its worth fixing (yes, I would like a flat panel but would prefer not to spend the money right now), and if its something we could do ourselves?

The focus control is going bad.Unless your skilled at soldering it's not a DIY job.

Thanks for the info, craftsman_50. Luckily, for no reason at all, everything is back to normal. Don't know what happened. But, we certainly didn't do anything.
