I have a lancaster water treatment system in my house. It says "Ironsoft Fine Mesh Resin" on the part below the timer and has a tank where houses some water and the salt you add. But it seems that when the system runs, the motor on top of the control panel buzzes constantly. I think the motor is going bad, its very loud. anyone have any insight into whether i can just replace the motor or if you have to replace the whole system? i think the top piece is called the 'power head assembly' and it is model # 7-FES-32B. thanks for any advice here!

Not sure but it sounds as though your system is a Fleck 5600. The motors will do that. I have told countless customers to let it go until the motor wears out. Could last another 3 years. If it is a Fleck 5600, the motor is replacable and not that costly. Send a pic and I can confirm the model.

That is a Fleck 5600. Like I said, the motor can last a long time. The noise may be annoying, but I've seen fairly new motors do the same thing. Hate for you to buy a new motor and it makes noise as well. BTW, what part of Va are you from and are you a skins fan? I grew up in Dale City.
Here is a web site for parts on that unit: Softenerparts.com Softener parts, repair your water conditioner with replacement parts for Fleck and Autotrol control valves: (http://softenerparts.zoovy.com)

This is for a 120V motor.
Softenerparts.com Motor - Timer Fleck 120 V 60 Hz 1/30 rpm 18743-1 ( replaces 13400, B13400 & 13944 ) (http://softenerparts.zoovy.com/product/3418743/Motor__Timer_Fleck_120_V_60_Hz_130_rpm_187431__replaces_13400_B13400_13944_.html)

This is for a 24V motor.
Softenerparts.com Motor - Timer Fleck 24 V ( replaces 13494 ) 19659-1 (http://softenerparts.zoovy.com/product/3419659/Motor__Timer_Fleck_24_V__replaces_13494__196591.html)

If you have a 120V motor, it will have a regular plug. If you have a 24V motor, it will comes with a transformer that you plug into the wall.

I'm not understanding. Are you asking me to get you a motor? The motor can be purchased seperatly and I can provide it for you but it would cost more. I don't get the volume discount.
