I just installed a Honeywell 7600 and when set to cool, the heat kicks on from the heatpump/ac condenser. I have it wired as such: R-R with a jump to RC, G-G, Y-Y, B-C, O-O, and W-Aux with a jump to E. I also have a brown wire which is pushed back. If it is not wired correctly, how should it be wired?

You may need to go into setting #190 and change it to 1

What was the make/model of the old t-stat? Reason I'm asking is the "B".

What is your heating? (Gas or Electric?) Make and model as well on those.

The old t-state was a GE and that is all I can tell you. Unfortunately, I threw it away a month ago before I installed this one (I previously installed the Honeywell 6400 that my wife purchased). I have gas heat and the condenser is a Fraser-Johnston. I have traced the brown wire to the B terminal on the condenser. Hope this helps a bit.

Okay, GE/Trane use B as common.

I have traced the brown wire to the B terminal on the condenser.
Is the brown wire on O/B at the t-stat?

The brown wire is pushed back into the wall. The O wire is connected to the O terminal.

Have you gone into setting #190 and change it to 1 ? If you did, did that help?

When switching the 0190 to 1 from from 0, the heat stiil kicks on. Other ideas/tips?

The gas burner on the furnace is running while the A/C is running?

What happens if you remove the wire from Aux/E?
